Meet the Team
Tracy Fawver, MSW, LCSW
Tracy Fawver is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and the founder of FireFly Mental Health based in Albuquerque, NM. Tracy brings a warm, nurturing, and deeply compassionate presence to her work with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. She believes that each child is a unique individual striving to develop a sense of self within their family system, and she approaches every client with genuine curiosity, respect, and care.
Tracy specializes in trauma-informed care and has extensive experience supporting survivors of abuse, individuals with PTSD, and youth involved in the foster care and adoption system. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in compassion and guided by evidence-based practices. She integrates a variety of modalities tailored to each client’s unique needs, including play-based therapy, sand tray therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), art therapy, narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, and the Nurtured Heart Approach.
In addition to her work with individuals, Tracy is dedicated to empowering families. She provides parents with practical strategies for managing challenging behaviors—such as those related to Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), depression, anxiety, and everyday stressors—while helping them strengthen connection, communication, and emotional understanding within the home.
Tracy holds a strong belief in the transformative power of therapy—its ability to support emotional well-being, strengthen relationships, promote healing, and foster a fulfilling life. Her goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their experiences, process trauma, learn effective coping skills, and build resilience for the future.
At the heart of Tracy’s work is the belief that healing happens in relationships, and that with the right support, every person has the capacity to grow, thrive, and shine. She is honored to walk along side you and your children in the healing process.

Patricia Perona, LPCC
Patricia has 15 years of clinical experience, specializing in supporting children and families navigating complex challenges, including being in foster care, having parents who struggle with mental illness, addiction, or incarceration. Her work also includes helping children with ADHD, PTSD, depression, self-esteem, chronic medical conditions, and those who may be at risk for long-term mental health concerns. She also provides therapy for adolescents and adults experiencing chronic health issues, relationship or family difficulties, and Adult Child problems such as codependency and dysfunctional family systems.
Patricia’s therapeutic foundation is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She believes deeply in the power of our thoughts, and works with clients to understand, challenge, and reshape the thinking patterns that influence how they feel and who they become. Because many clients—especially children—benefit from creative expression, she incorporates art therapy and play to support emotional processing, skill-building, and healing in ways that feel natural and safe.
Throughout her career, she has also been involved in building community support. She has extensive experience creating and facilitating support groups, including those focused-on self-esteem, domestic violence, PTSD, epilepsy, breast cancer, infertility, fibromyalgia, chronic pain, and teen girls’ empowerment. These groups have shaped her understanding of how connection, shared experience, and compassionate spaces can support resilience and recovery.
Patricia often describes her work through the metaphor of quilting. Just as a quilt is stitched together from different patterns, textures, materials and pieces of many sizes, she sees each person as a unique collection of experiences, strengths, traumas, and wonders—coming together to form a meaningful and beautiful whole. Her role is to help clients understand the pieces of their lives and support them as they create something strong, resilient, and uniquely theirs.
